Frontline Systems periodically makes available maintenance releases (for example V10.0.1), also called updates or point releases of its software products, to fix bugs, resolve incompatibilities, and make minor improvements.  These maintenance releases update the software you have currently installed -- they will run as long as you have a current license (trial, time-limited, or permanent) for the "major release" (for example V10.0).

Users with current Annual Support Contracts are entitled to maintenance releases and free upgrades to minor releases (for example V10.1) and major releases (for example V11.0) of a software product.  For more information, please see Annual Support Contracts or contact us at info@solver.com

Solver Platform SDK V10.0.0

Solving Excel Workbook Models.  Solver Platform SDK V10.0 has the ability to load Excel workbooks containing optimization and simulation models (created using one of our Excel products) and solve them anywhere, from desktop to server to cloud.  Excel is not required on the target system; everything you need is contained with SolverSDK.dll.

New Installer and License Manager.  Solver Platform SDK V10.0 uses InstallShield 2010 technology and code-signing for easier installation in many corporate environments, and the latest release of the Reprise License Manager.

Compatibility with V10.0 Solver Engines.  Solver Platform SDK V10.0 accepts (only) plug-in, large-scale Solver Engines Version 10.0.  If you have older versions of the Solver Engines, contact us to upgrade to V10.0.

Solver Platform SDK V9.0.0

New Multi-Core Capabilities.  Solver Platform SDK V9.0 uses parallelized algorithms to take advantage of multi-core processors in its Evolutionary Solver, its Multistart method for global optimization and Branch & Bound method for mixed-integer problems with the GRG Nonlinear Solver, and its Monte Carlo simulation engine.

New Reprise License Manager.  Solver Platform SDK V9.0 uses a new license manager from Reprise Software, which offers many advantages in flexibility and stability over the Sentinel license manager used in Solver Platform SDK V7.0.

Compatibility with V9.0 Solver Engines.  Solver Platform SDK V9.0 accepts (only) plug-in, large-scale Solver Engines Version 9.0.  If you have older versions of the Solver Engines, contact us to upgrade to V9.0.
