Installing the RASON Desktop Extension

The RASON Desktop extension is required for developers who create, edit, and export RASON models  To install the RASON Desktop Extension to work with Visual Studio Code, simply

  1. Open Visual Studio Code.
  2. Navigate to the Extensions view by clicking the Extensions icon on the left sidebar.
  3. Search for RASON Desktop in the Extensions Marketplace.
  4. Select the extension and click Install.
  5. After installation, restart Visual Studio Code if prompted.

After the extension is installed, you can open RASON model files, including many RASON examples, validate models, and export them directly to Power BI or Excel. Click the lightbulb to get started!
